I’m a homebody by nature. And with the weather getting colder, I plan on being trapped indoors with my insane children enjoying quite of bit of time at home in the coming months. I want my home to feel relaxed, lived-in, warm, and inviting. In one word? Cozy.
So I’ve gathered up a few ideas to help us ALL cozy up our nests. Enjoy!
Knit.
Knits will add both warmth and texture to your spaces. Think thicker, chunkier designs to avoid the “granny look”. Knit something yourself, or hop on over to Etsy and let someone else do the hard work!
Plaid.
It’s not just for log cabins and catholic schools anymore! Plaid is back in a big way, and today’s patterns are classic, tailored, and fit seamlessly into any decor.

Birch logs.
I am crazy about both the color and texture of birch logs. Use on the hearth of your fireplace of bundled in a woven basket. Don’t have birch in your area? No problem, my best friend amazon will hook you up.
Candles and Hurricanes.
Of course, candles and hurricanes are a basic for any season, but you can fill your hurricanes with a variety of seasonal, natural elements to achieve a cozier look.
Natural Wood.
A little goes a long way, here. A natural wood side table, shelf or mirror will do wonders in adding a rich, textured effect.
Any other suggestions for a achieving a cozy look?
